Raver's Nature - Germany
Ravers Nature is a project developed by three friends from their very first beginning as artists in 1990 when they were really young lads. Today as an experienced crew in many fields apart from music business, they are in their young mid-twenties: Markus "Roy" Strobel, Peter Luft, alias Pedro Ferrari, and Ralf Lindner, alias John Bogota.
The idea for Ravers Nature rose, when the acid wave from England swapped across the continent in 1988. In Germany Roy and Pedro began deejaying at their local La Monza playing Acid House, Hip Hop and a whole variety of style in dance music. At La Monza they met John, whom at the that time worked as a producer of soundtracks for video games on Amiga computers. Joining together, Roy, Pedro & John began to produce their first dance tracks.
Those efforts were underestimated by numerous labels and while they knocked on doors in vain, they finally decided to do everything themselves and created their first record "Spirit of Tekknology" in 1991. Later, energetic Roy began spinning with DJ Tanith. The three La Monza team and Tanith began working together and soon after founded the Bash Label. "Ravers Nature" became one of Bash & Acutes first releases, with another to follow three months later.
Ravers Nature first live gigs followed in May 1993 when they played at the Bash Record Release Party in Berlin. In July, they played in front a large crowd of ravers at the Love Nation Party at Die Halle. Although this year was a definite advancement in the Ravers Nature music career, the label Bash decided to close its doors after releasing only two albums. Soon after a different chapter opened when Ravers Nature decided to work with Fire Records, a sub-label of Low Spirit.
Two live Mayday gigs set the pace in 1994, "Rave Olympia" and "The Raving Society" to accelerate Ravers Nature and their single "Take Off" further into sales charts in Germany up to 27, followed by "Stop Scratching" on place 34 a little later. Chosen as "Best Live Act" in 1994 by Camel Awards, they soon were nominated for the VIVA-Awards. Their tracks found ways onto numerous compilations and their videos were produced by Russel Curtis in England.
Their first album entitled "La Monza" was released in 1995 and was supported by its single prerelease, "Bring Me Noise", which climbed up to No. 49 in the German Sales Charts. After all these successful releases, the guys received bookings form all over the world. The did uncountable live gigs from which they got so much inspiration that they decided to reduce touring and the end of 1996 and spend more time in the studio. Back in La Monza they started writing and producing new tracks. In the end they defined a totally new sound. After listening to the new track "You Blow My Mind" you will agree that Roy Strobel and his friends have created a No. 1 dance track. This single has everything you were looking for combined in one track: heavy guitar-riffs, unforgettable female voice samples, orchestral strings all connected with new electronic sounds. The La Monzas have surpassed themselves with "You Blow My Mind".
